Choose Blogspot because not only is it free and simple, it gives you the necessary tools to easily promote your blog.
I bet you have done some research online about blogging and a lot of bloggers have been able to persuade you to choose a self-hosted blogging platforms (that is purchasing your own domain name and hosting plan) instead of free platforms like Blogspot or Wordpress.com. Well, it's a good advice. However, if you don't know what your want to blog about or you are just curious about what it feels like to be a blogger, i recommend you opt for Blogspot.
Imagine buying a domain name and paying for hosting plan and all off a sudden you get stuck because you have no idea what to blog about! I wrote a post about why you should start a free blog because i don't want you to go through what i experienced as an aspiring blogger.
How to start a blog with free Blogspot
- Create a Gmail Account
- Go to Blogger.com
- Create blog contents and promote it
Without a google account you can't create a blogspot blog. Gmail gives you free access to Google's apps like youtube, Google+ etc.
Go to www.google.com
Click on sign in
Click on more options
Click on create account
Fill in the details below
After creating and verifying your account, go to www.blogger.com
Sign into your gmail account
Search for an available blog name you like and start blogging
Create blog content and promote it
Now that you have created your blog and written your first post, it is now time to promote your content by sharing your posts on any social media platforms you like, but start with google+.
